Chapter 8 Reflection
Question 1
Think about when you were a child, what types of contact did your parents have with your school? did your parents take you to school every day, did you get there on your own? were there regularly scheduled events? what were these events? how were your parents involved in your education?
If you are the parent of a school-age learner, what types of contact do you have with your child's school?
Answer
They teach me every night, especially my father he was very hard on me if I had a bad grade that day it will make him a little angry then he teach me what I couldn't. Sometimes they took me to go to school I went by myself because my school is only 300 meters from my home, sometimes there are big celebrations at school events such as Kartini's Day, and final learning outcomes report, and then a farewell ceremony for my parent always come to that event be held in my school. My parents were involved in my education when they taught me, asked about my grades at school, and helped teach me what I had not mastered.
If I be a parent one day I will do the same thing as my parents do
Question 2
Think back to your own childhood. looks at the drawing prompts in figure 1. if you were a child and you had been asked to draw a picture based on the prompt for feeling better what could you have drawn? who could have been in your pictures? what could have been going on in the pictures?
Answer
I will draw myself when am I sick, my mother is caring for me, and also my Father checking my body temperature, and my Mother makes delicious food when I get unwell. then when I feel better I always play with my dad, help my mother clean the house, and water the flowers. I had drawn that before.
Question 3
Think about your own childhood, If your parents has been asked to write to one of your teachers, what would they have said?
What would you tell your child's teacher if you have a school-age child?
Answer
be honest my parents never ask me to do this thing, maybe their not thinking about it, but if I am a parent someday, I will ask my child to write a grateful letter, an impression, and a message to their favorite teacher.
Question 4
What type of homework activities did you have as a child? did anyone at home help you with your homework? who provided assistance? what kind the assistance did they provide? if you took a foreign language, did the person who help you speak that language?
Answer
The type of my homework is an exercise from previous material my father always helps me to finish it there is no assistance at all.
Question 5
Do children in your country have too many activities or too many things to do? make a schedule for a typical child between the age of five and 12. if you do not know any children between these ages, think back to your childhood and write out a typical schedule. are they too many structured activities? is there enough time to play
Answer
From Monday to Thursday learning begins but in 1 day it is divided into 3 subjects and breaks after the 2nd subject, while on Friday we carry out gymnastics for the first hour, and the second hour we carry out the teaching and learning process with and after that we went home. On Saturday we held only 2 subjects and 1 break.
