Week 2 Activity

 Teaching Experience


For the first time teaching especially teaching young learners teach my sister English. They have the same hobby, such as watching movies, they really love Disney movies, Dreamworks Animation, and a lot like me. they so love music in English. Because of that, they are able to catch many vocabularies that are special or easy to remember for them. The first step I teaching them English is to ask and tell them every vocabulary of any object in their room and make them memorize the vocabulary that their find, then I ask them to make some sentences with vocabulary in their room before, and after that, I ask them to make some conversation until our discussion is going widely.


My cousin asked me to teach my niece, so I ask her about her problem with learning English, so the answer is hard to memorize the vocabulary, and still confused by the arrangement of an inverted sentence because this is far different from the Indonesian language she said, she is at 5 elementary grade so I tell her basic English and I will not teach her using the formulas because it looks complicated on her. Like what I taught before I will ask ant tell every object and then make a simple sentence and ask her to more practice

Chapter 2 Reflection

  Questions 1. Count the number of times that different sentence patterns are repeated? 2. Why would repeating sentences help young learners? Answer 1. Someone ate my porridge (it's repeated three times) 2. Because the repeating patterns could help the student to understand change and that things happened over time and are very easy to take by young learners, and then repeating the sentence frequently simplify by the decoding process for beginning, especially for young learners in the listening process make them easier to take the meaning.

Reflection Chapter 1 Reflection 1 Think of a child you know, a child may be a student you have or someone in your family, describe one or more children you listed. be sure to give examples of their physical, cognitive, and social/emotional development.
