Question 1

Make a list of 10 words that young children have difficulty pronouncing in their native language. how old are children who have trouble pronouncing these words? does this difficulty continue as children develop? are these English language phonemes or do these phonemes exist in English? how could you incorporate special attention to these sounds in your lesson?

Answer

  • Squirrel
  • Rural
  • Literally
  • Temperature

  • Rhythm

They are difficult to say that because there is an alphabet deceiver but it is not mentioned in spelling as we pronounce nee k as missing and some words make their tongue stiff or loose when to spell these words. if they know how to pronounce it will be easy for them. and for phonemes id very important to know the meaning of the sound when it is spoken like on the age-mastered table in the book, and how I incorporated it by giving them an example from a video or me to giving a view them.

Answer
Three games should do with partners, small groups, and large groups
1. Scrabble
This game is suitable to test creativity, especially in learning vocabulary
2. Pictionary
Pictionary is a picture-based charades game ideally played by 2 groups.  First, each group will get several cards, each containing 4 vocabularies.  Then, they can choose a vocabulary to draw.  Then, the next task for the other players is to guess the word based on the picture made.  The winning group is the one that guesses the most words correctly.  This game can challenge children to know and understand more English vocabulary.

Dabble is a word-building game that's quite similar to Scrabble.  This game is suitable for 2-4 people to play, and each player will get 20 pieces of letters.  The task of the players is to compose 5 English words consisting of 2 letter words, 3 letters, 4 letters, 5 letters, and 6 letters within 5 minutes.

Question 5

Think about the classroom where you have worked or studied as a child. what type of signal did or could the teacher have used to get the children's attention quietly?

Answer

In my experience when I teach young learners when the class is too noisy, I give a signal like this "Alright everyone keeps your eyes on me" if it's not working I will give the second signal like this  "I will ask you one by one if you don't know it will be your homework and I will add extra to you, and suddenly they pay attention on me
